[001] What we do
Referrals, labs, and clinical notes from eRx, fax, or email, read and entered into your EHR or pharmacy system.
Medical and pharmacy benefits checked on payer portals and by phone, with the patient’s cost estimated.
The chart matched to payer policy, then submitted by portal, fax, or phone and tracked to a decision.
[002] Why Mandolin
[003] Oversight
This patient has a new insurance card. I’ve attached it with their updated demographics.
Please update the chart and re-run benefits ahead of their Entyvio infusion.
The name on the new card didn’t exactly match the chart. A reviewer checked the demographics sheet and confirmed it was the same patient.
Built and overseen by pharmacists and clinicians who did this work by hand for years.
SOC 2 Type II, independent penetration testing, encryption in transit and at rest, and US-only infrastructure. Trust center ↗
[004] Coverage
Under either benefit, Mandolin checks the chart against the payer’s clinical criteria before submitting, and requests anything that’s missing.
Mandolin checks site-of-care rules with the other criteria, so the authorization covers the right site.
Mandolin works under whichever benefit applies, and checks both when a drug could go either way.
[005] Insights
With Mandolin, the queue between steps goes away. What’s left is mostly payer review.
Every denial links to its full case record for the appeal.
Each one goes back to the prescriber with the exact fix needed.
Why we exist
Inside the system, it’s a workflow status. For the patient, it’s waiting.
Mandolin started with our CEO Will’s grandfather. After his Alzheimer’s diagnosis, the process to start treatment felt so hard that he never began. We’re building toward a world where every patient starts treatment as soon as they’re ready.
